What we can and cannot tell you
Commonly cited industry estimates put the water behind one new cotton t shirt at around 2,700 litres. We have not measured that figure ourselves, and we are not going to hand you a certificate saying you personally saved it. A shirt you do not buy is simply a shirt that was never made. That is the whole claim, and we would rather make a small one that is true.
